The restocking of a local loch.

Yesterday i went to see a local loch being restocked with tons of trout,400 to be precise! It was certainly interesting to see big brown trout and tasty rainbows leaping out the bucket.I took lots of photos and footage ,some of which will be below.

So here are two fishy videos.Enjoy!

Fishy action photo number 2

I thought this was very interesting because it makes it clear where all those big trout came from, and it is also pretty unusual because it's not something you see everyday(or never in the case of some people)

The striding arches

On saturday we went to see the striding arches!!They are located in Cairnshead ,near Moniaive.I did some research and here are the results!

The striding arches are made by Andrew Goldsworthy out of local sandstone. There are three situated at a place called Cairnhead. One appears to be casually striding out of a disused byre whereas the other two are on nearby hills. There are also similar arches in Canada, also made out of sandstone from Scotland. These represent the mass emigration from Scotland to Canada during the time of the Clearances.
